Winning a Cyberdunk Team

www.talkdep.com

Each season on Talkdep.com, a raffle is held where the winners each receive a free Cyberdunk team. I entered the raffle and was surprised to see my name come up in the list of winners. There had been 100 winners chosen instead of the usual 65 and although it had been a few days since they were announced, some had not claimed their free team. There was talk of given those teams to someone else but I quickly decided which team I wanted a messaged talkdep.

I decided to take charge of a team with a history. That being the first UK team to win the Premier League title in Season 1. The team back then was called Wakefield Old School. I inherited it with a changed name of Edimburgh Highlanders which I plan to change to Wakefield Warriors. I have the job of trying to stop them being relegated from the Queen League this Season 8. I have bought new players and also have my player Dirk Dunkley on the team as well.

CyberSoccer - The First Season

www.cybersoccer.com

I have the team of Backdoor Avalanche. I don't know what that means but I thought I would keep it for the 1st season and change the name for the next season. We are in the UK Division 1. At the start of the season I brought in a lot of players but towards the end a lot of them had become inactive and I had to let them go. My best goalkeeper was Genzo Wakabayash. Best defenders were Pomm Boonyarit, Jermaine Smith, and Cee Deez. Best midfielders were Justekass Kugis, Zinedine Zidane, and Josue Joshi. Best attackers were Didier Drogba, Cary Golob, Pastyulea George, and Chris Branch.

We spent the season below mid table and fighting for relegation. In the end we were just one spot above relegation with 3 more points than the team below us. The next season will be harder because 4 good teams have been promoted from the lower league and we will also lose a few of our good players who have not resigned their new contracts. Plus, hardly any players seem to want to join us even though we are a top league team.

Portsmouth Sharks - Midway Through Season 7

www.cyberdunk.com

Even with The King, the Portsmouth Sharks are finding it hard to break in the top 4 of the UK Prince League. This is all down to the 4 teams that got promoted from the Duke League. Tenerife Winners, Reefer Sharks, Ilkeston Robins, and Portsmouth Cougars. We have lost to all 4 and it looks like it will happen again for the next half of the season.

There are some positives we can take from this season. To start with we have The King. He has been MOM in most of the games he has played. He has the 8th most points, 3rd most assists, and 4th most steals. We are in 5th position, just 2 points behind 4th placed Robins. So we have a chance. The squad has been trimmed down to 10 players so we can bring in some new players if need be. So there is still hope for promotion.

Talkdep Forum League Names

www.talkdep.com

Because the United Kingdom league names had been changed in Cyberdunk, there therefore needed to be a change of the league names in the talkdep forum. I took this upon myself to post in the relative thread and show the names that were needed. I had UK Royal Premier, UK King League, UK Queen League, etc. I thought I would abbreviate United Kingdom as this has caused quite an annoyance, particular with United Kingdom King League. It made it easier and quicker to read I thought. It has somewhat tidied up the UK forums in talkdep but certain teams still need to be put in their correct leagues later on down the line.

Portsmouth Sharks - Into Season 7

www.cyberdunk.com

For this season I had signed Cary Golob and The King. I'd got rid of Addzey Willzey, Loreno Tezema, Igal Klebanov, and Ex Exior. I introduced my new Center, Milo Milky, and hoped he would grow to be a great player. Recently I signed another Shooting Guard, Yodaddy Anjomama.

Unfortunately, the start of the season was financially bad because I forgot to renew my manager's contract for the new season. So when the old one ended I lost $10 million from the team's funds. However, we are doing much better in the league this season and managed to get into the next round of the UK Cup.

Horrors of Online Gaming 1

Well, the other day, I received an email from cyberdunk telling me that my team ownership renewal was about to run out. So, I kept that in the back of my mind and I waited until the ownership ran out, so I could repurchase it. WRONG! I had to renew it BEFORE it ran out. Doesn't make much sense to me. I was very upset but, I was luckily able to rebuy the team and everything is ok now. From www.focusdep.com, I hope this quote will help me.

Study the past if you would divine the future. -Confucious

This means that I can learn from my past, and I won't mess up like that again!

Cyberdunk League Renaming

www.talkdep.com

Talkdep is the place to go to get your national leagues renamed the way you want them. A Talkdep member elects himself spokesperson for his country. He then starts a thread stating different possible names for his country's leagues. He compiles a lists of types of names for leagues and then makes another thread asking members to vote for their favourite list group.

I started one for the UK leagues. I had 4 lists. These consisted of the names of football leagues, plus random object names, and names of stars and planets. The planets seem to be winning, although during the poll another list was suggested and seemed quite popular. It was a list of royalty type names. King, Queen, Prince, Duke etc. What I think I will do is take the top list or 2 lists and put them with the royalty list to make another poll. I would have prefered for the new league names to be implemented for next season. But because the new season is nearly here, I may have to cut short the polls and present the list I feel everyone likes, to the staff of Cyberdunk.

Portsmouth Sharks - Nearing end of Season 6

www.cyberdunk.com

Porstmouth Sharks are just 9 league games until the end of the season. Quite a bit has happened during the last month. We had a run of 5 straight league defeats but sorted ourselves out to start winning again. I signed an Short Forward by the name of Bryce Key who proved to be a useful addition to the team. Edgaras Jurkonis was at the end of his contract and left us. I signed 2 new players, the Shooting Guard, Brandon Richards, and the Short Forward, Billy the kid. I later sign another Short Forward, LeBron James, and I release Tayshaun Prince. I sign a new Center, Loreno Tezema, and I finally release Nigel Quinn. I also end up releasing Billy the kid as I decide to trim the team down.

So like last season we are currently at 15th position in the league. It looks as know we will stay up, so what is in store for next season? Well I hope to buy Cary Golob, who I believe is related to Cory Golob. I also intend to buy the one, and only, The King! So next season is looking exciting.
The stadium is slowly increasing in size and everything is looking good. Here's to the next season! May it be a successful one!

Portsmouth Sharks Team Forum

www.talkdep.com

Having a good basketball team is all about having good communication between the players. One way in order to do this is to get your own team forum. This is where talkdep.com comes in. There are quite a few team forums in the United Kingdom section but many are inactive except for the all glorious London Goats and now, Portsmouth Sharks. I simply asked for it and it was created, sitting nicely on it's own in the UK 4th forums.

I've made quite a few threads in this forum since it was first made and had active participation in them from at least 2 of my players. But we needed something which was a bit more private. Something we could post lineups and tactics in without the prying eyes of the opposition. So I asked for another forum to be made inside ours. I asked for a Private Team Forum. I told all my players the password to this private forum. Now we have all the privacy we need to discuss how to beat those high valued human teams.

Portsmouth Sharks

www.cyberdunk.com

I took control of Portsmouth Sharks at the start of Season 6. My first job was to check out my team players. Some were active but I needed to make contact with them. So I organised a forum be built for the team so that they could speak. I also advertised that I needed new players so I ended up getting a few speaking of their wish to play for my team. But in the original lineup, there was one player who had the biggest salary and I thought he was draining the finances of the club. He had to go!

I did it subtlely. I offered him a new contract with a salary which was much the same as the others. He wasn't interested and he ended up going and joining his own team, the Ipswich Brotherhood (now the Argyle Gargoyles). I started getting players with better values and I weeded out the inactive players slowly.

The first guy who contacted me said he had been playing for the team the previous season. He wanted to help the club. He made the team logo and banner which I put on the team's homepage. The team was starting to look attractive which was sure to attract more players. Although this season looks set to be just like last season with us finishing about 15th, so long as we are not relegated then I'm sure next season we will do very well!

Cyberdunk - Dunkley and Mahone

www.cyberdunk.com

I've decided to postpone the purchase of a team until the start of next season. Dirk Dunkley's contract with Dnipropetrovsk Souths came to an end on the 31st day. The plan was for him to join the team I was going to purchase. I do not want him to join a completely random team like last time.

Majic Mahone is doing okay at his club, Ginasio Figueirense. They are currently 9th in thePortugese Division 4. They have had a good run of wins. Hopefully the top teams will lose some games so they can claw themselves near the 3 promotion places. Here's hoping for a good end to the season!

Cyberdunk Competitions

www.talkdep.com

You can enter various competitions for Cyberdunk by going on the Talkdep forums. One of those competitions is to produce a 5 minute YouTube vid about Cyberdunk. Your vid has to advertise Cyberdunk to the public. I made a short vid where it showcased the game and what you could do on it. It also incorporated real life basketball footage along with an Outhere Brothers soundtrack.
There is also a blogging contest. The best written blog of the month gets 400 CDP. I have noticed other competitions too, such as a trivia quiz to get Cyberdunk Points or ingame items. So if you want to see extra competitions you can join for Cyberdunk then goto www.talkdep.com and go in the Cyberdunk.com forums.

Cyberdunk - Season 5

www.cyberdunk.com

It didn't get off to a good start. Due to update difficulties, Days 2 and 3 had to be reset. So results played on those days didn't count. The decision to reset was made because some players could not update their tactics for those games on those days. Good news is an extra 5% on cyberpoints purchased on those days was given. Also the option to create a free extra player was on offer.

So with that and with the season properly underway, I created another player. I called him Majic Mahone and he hailed from the USA. I got him drafted into a Portugese Division 4 league. This obviously was not my first choice. I would have preferred one of the United Kingdom or USA leagues. I am hoping to be able to purchase my first basketball team this season. I know who I want to manage. It's a secret but let's just say they are in the one of the UK leagues.

Cyberdunk Team Forums

www.talkdep.com

Talkdep.com is a great way to tell the members of your team what matches they have coming up and who will be playing. Basically, Talkdep is a forum for the popular online game, Cyberdunk. Under the Team Chat section are all the different countries that have leagues in the game. For instance, if you clicked on the sub forum of United Kingdom, you would be taken to more sub forums of all the leagues there. There would be forums for every team in each league where players can discuss what is happening with their team. If it so happens that your team does not have a forum, you can always request that one be made for your team. It's a nice, useful addition to the game and makes it more interesting!

Cyberdunk - Si7 vs Tonyth

www.cyberdunk.com

Si7 and Tonyth are both contenders to be United Kingdom National Coach, but what makes this more interesting is that they are both neck and neck, battling it out for the Second League Championship with their respective teams. Tonyth owns Hartlepool Monkeys who are top of the Second league in the UK. But they have the same points, same amount of victories, and have lost just one game like their rivals just below them. The only thing that separates these teams is that the Monkeys have a better Points Average. si7, who owns Torquay Thunder knows how close this season has been and I'm sure he'd love to win the Second League and be United Kingdom coach. It's hotting up to be an interesting end to the season! Who knows what will happen?
